Phrasing Nuances
Singers naturally breathe, anticipate, or extend syllables. Align words where vocal onset truly begins.
Isolated Line Tuning
Adjust only the selected line without shifting or desyncing the rest of the song.
Contextual Audio
Pre-roll and post-roll preview ensures natural transitions between adjacent phrases.
Full Undo / Redo
Experiment freely with Cmd/Ctrl+Z history tracking for every drag and nudge.
Visual Feedback

Answers & Guidance
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a lyrics timeline?
A lyrics timeline shows timed lyric lines alongside your song. It lets you see when each line begins and ends while the audio plays, making it easier to review and adjust synchronization.
What is the difference between Lyric Sync and the Lyrics Timeline?
Lyric Sync creates the initial timing between your lyrics and audio. The Lyrics Timeline is for reviewing and adjusting that timing afterward. Use Lyric Sync when your lyrics do not have timestamps yet. Use the timeline when you want more control over existing timing.
Can I move a lyric that appears too early or too late?
Yes. Select the lyric block and move it earlier or later on the timeline. You can then replay that part of the song to check the change.
Can I change when a lyric starts and ends?
Yes. The timeline lets you adjust the start and end of an individual lyric without changing the timing of every other line.
Do I need to sync the whole song again after making a correction?
No. One of the main reasons to use the timeline is to fix individual lines while leaving the rest of your existing timing unchanged.
Can I listen to the song while editing the lyrics?
Yes. The timeline is designed to work with audio playback so you can hear the vocals while reviewing each lyric's position.
Why might automatically synced lyrics still need editing?
Songs can include held notes, unusual phrasing, overlapping vocals, backing vocals, ad-libs, quiet vocals, or other details that make timing more difficult. Reviewing the result by ear helps you decide whether a line should appear slightly earlier, later, or for a different duration.
Can I edit existing LRC files?
Yes. You can load an existing LRC file with its matching audio and adjust its timestamps directly on the timeline.
Does the timeline support word-level lyric timing?
The editor provides focused, rock-solid line timing to ensure lines appear naturally with vocals. More granular word timing is preserved when present in your imported files.
Can I zoom into the waveform?
Yes. Timeline zoom helps when you need to inspect a short section of audio or make a smaller timing adjustment.
Can I preview only the line I am editing?
Yes. The Preview Line button plays the selected line with 1 second of pre-roll and 1 second of post-roll so you hear the vocal entrance and exit in context.
What should I do if two lyrics overlap?
Select the affected lyric blocks and adjust their start or end positions. Replay the transition afterward to make sure the change feels natural with the vocals.
What file formats can I export?
You can export your corrected lyrics in standard LRC, SRT, VTT, and JSON formats for immediate use in players, video editors, and web apps.
Can I use the timeline without automatic lyric syncing?
If you already have a timed lyric file (LRC, SRT, VTT), yes. You can import it with your audio and make adjustments. If you only have plain lyrics with no timing information, starting with Lyric Sync is recommended.
Will editing the timeline change my audio?
No. Timeline edits only change lyric timing metadata, leaving your original audio file completely untouched.
How precise should lyric timing be?
Standard synced lyrics typically need each line to appear comfortably with the vocal phrase. The best approach is to preview the result by ear and ensure the lyrics feel natural as the music plays.
