Use Vocals and Voices You're Authorized to Use
Upload a vocal you own or have permission to use. Preset voices on this page are provided or authorized by the platform; using your own trained voice requires that it was created from vocals you own or had permission to use.
Do not use this tool to convert vocals into the voice of a real person you do not have authorization to use.
FAQ
What is AI voice synthesis?
On this page, AI voice synthesis changes the vocal identity of an existing singing performance. You upload a vocal, choose an authorized target voice, and create a converted version while keeping the original performance's timing and melody.
Is this the same as text-to-speech?
No. This workflow starts with an existing vocal recording rather than plain text. It is designed to transform a performance, not read written text aloud.
Is Voice Synthesis the same as MIDI to Vocals?
No. MIDI to Vocals starts from MIDI and lyrics to create a singing performance. Voice Synthesis starts from an existing vocal performance and changes the voice that performs it.
Is this the same as AI Singing Generator?
No. AI Singing Generator trains a reusable custom singing voice. Voice Synthesis uses a preset or trained voice to convert an existing vocal performance.
What kind of audio should I upload?
A clean, isolated lead vocal usually works best. Background instruments, strong reverb, distortion, or multiple singers can make the conversion less consistent.
Does the converted vocal keep my melody?
The goal is to preserve the source performance's melody, timing, rhythm, and phrasing while changing the vocal character.
Can I use my own trained voice?
Yes. Once you have created a reusable singing voice through the voice-training workflow, it can be selected here under My Voices.
Can I convert a full mixed song?
A dry or isolated vocal is recommended. Full mixes contain instruments and effects that can interfere with voice conversion. If you only have a full song, separate the vocal first with Vocal Remover for better results.
Can I use someone else's voice?
Only when you have the necessary permission or rights to use that voice. Do not use another person's voice without authorization.
Can I use a celebrity or public figure's voice?
No. Do not upload, train, or select a voice intended to represent a real person without their authorization. Preset voices on this page are not modeled on real, identifiable individuals.
Does Voice Synthesis create a new melody?
No. It works from the vocal performance you provide. If you need to create a melody first, use Lyric to Melody or MIDI to Vocals.
Can I download the converted vocal?
Yes. Once a conversion finishes, you can preview and download the result and continue editing or mixing it elsewhere.
Does converting a vocal cost credits?
Yes. Each conversion costs a fixed 60 credits, available on any plan with enough credits -- there is no separate subscription requirement.
Will the converted vocal sound exactly like the target voice?
Results depend on the source performance, recording quality, pitch range, vocal style, and the target voice model. Clean input and a compatible vocal range generally make the result easier to use.
Can I use converted vocals commercially?
Commercial use depends on your plan, your rights to the source vocal and target voice, and the applicable Terms of Service. Review the current terms before publishing or distributing commercial work.
What should I do after converting the vocal?
You can download the vocal, try another voice, or continue building your song with the rest of the site's tools.
